Flow Measurement & Level Sensing

The LaserFlow® velocity sensor remotely measures flow in open channels with non-contact Laser Doppler Velocity technology and non-contact Ultrasonic Level technology. The sensor uses advanced technology to measure velocity with a laser beam at single or multiple points below the surface of the wastewater stream. The LaserFlow® Ex velocity sensor can be installed in hazardous areas defined as Class 1, Div 1, Zone 0 and ATEX category 1G.

Non-Contact Velocity Sensor

Signature flow meters are designed for open channel flow monitoring. The flow meter supports water flow meter technologies including bubbler, non-contact laser area velocity, submerged Doppler ultrasonic area velocity, and ultrasonic. The Signature can calculate flow using standard open channel level-to-flow and area velocity conversions, as well as user-defined equations, level to area data points, or level to flow data points, depending on the application need. Signature flow meters have unique features to verify data integrity. The flow meter logs key events, such as changes in calibration and power outages, to validate data accuracy. Data can be easily reviewed to detect any type of data alteration. With multiple smart interface options and multi-parameter logging (such as pH), Signature flow meters provide a common platform for control action, reporting, and communication of water flow, wastewater flow and stormwater flow.

Electromagnetic sensors use the Faraday Principle to measure the water speed. As a conductor (water) moves through an electromagnetic field (generated by the sensor), it generates a voltage that is measured by the sensor electrodes. Modern-day signal conditioning electronics and filtering techniques allow highly accurate measurements to be made.

The Teledyne ISCO 674 Rain Gauge is a precision instrument that uses a tipping bucket design for accurate rainfall measurement. It has an 8 inch diameter orifice and is factory-calibrated to tip at either 0.01 inch or 0.1 mm of rainfall. The 581 Rapid Transfer Device (RTD) is the convenient alternative to using laptop computers in the field. Unlike laptop computers, the 581 RTD requires little or no training, so it can be easily used by anyone on your staff. Simply plug the 581 RTD into the port on your ISCO instrument and your flow, rainfall, water quality, and sampling data are quickly transferred to the RTD. There are no additional cables to carry, and no buttons to push. Data transfer is completely automatic. Back in the comfort of your office, you can quickly transfer the data from the RTD to your PC for display, storage or printout. Teledyne ISCO offers Flowlink® software for analyzing the data collected by your RTD.

The 6712 portable sampler is a convenient and affordable device in a water, wastewater or stormwater sampler. ISCO's advanced 6712 controller allows you to select different programming modes for collecting samples to assure the most suitable routine for your application. Programming is fast and simple, with online help just a key stroke away, allowing you to easily consider EPA sampling requirements. In Standard Programming Mode, the controller walks you through the sequence for collecting samples step-by-step, allowing you to choose all parameters specific to your application. Extended Programming Mode lets you enter more complex programs including “smart sampling” event notification, triggered on any combination of up to 16 inputs.

The 6712C compact model gives you the world's most versatile sampler controller in a smaller-diameter package that fits in 18" and offset manholes. Large, comfortable handles make transporting safe and convenient - even when wearing gloves. The NEMA 4X, 6 (IP67) enclosure is submersible, watertight, and dust-tight. 6712C Compact Portable Sampler

The GLS Sampler is designed for general purpose or priority pollutant sampling in municipal and industrial applications where a full-size sampler is too large. It collects composite samples, based on time or flow intervals, in 1- or 2.5-gallon glass or polyethylene bottles, or in 2-gallon disposable ProPak bags. With GLS's simplified programming, setup takes less than a minute. In the field, the operator simply calls up the program with two keystrokes, presses the "go" button - and the sampling routine begins. You can also key in an alternate program in the field, without losing your stored program.

The 5800 Refrigerated Sampler is Teledyne ISCO's answer to the rigorous demands of water monitoring. With user-friendly controls and task accommodating features, the 5800 is the only choice for stationary sampling in both municipal and industrial wastewater applications. The controller actively regulates and displays the sample compartment temperature, and logs a 24-hour summary to confirm proper sample cooling. Not only can you download the temperature record with a basic utility program such as Tera Term, you can also view this information on the unit display.

It features our unequalled "FR" model corrosion-proof refrigerator cabinet molded from polyester resin fiberglass and supported by a stainless steel frame. A UV-resistant gel coat provides a smooth, non-porous finish for added protection and easy cleaning. Thick, foamed-in-place insulation helps keep samples preserved at the EPA-recommended 39°F (4°C). An automatically controlled, built-in heater ensures that samples won't freeze. The heart of the 6712FR is ISCO's advanced 6712 Controller. BLZZRD™ is a portable refrigerated sampler with active cooling from either AC or battery power. Its controller offers all advanced controls, interfaces, data logging, and remote communication features. Based on Teledyne ISCO’s industry-leading 6712 controller, you get all the advanced control, data logging, and communication features of the 6712, with cooling from either AC or battery power. Bottle options include 5- and 2.5 gallon composites as well as 4 x 1-gallon, 4 x 1.8 L, and 14 x 950 ml sequentials. A 12V deep-cycle battery delivers 48 hours—or more—of refrigeration. The power-saving cooling system remains on standby until the first sample is drawn, and only then switches on to preserve the collected samples for pickup. Available routines include: pause-and-resume for intermittentdischarge flow monitoring; sampler pacing by time, non-uniform time, flow or external event; and random interval sample collection.
